The Kirtrite Forge Guarantee

We want this miniature to be the highlight of your next campaign. Every model is thoroughly inspected before it leaves our wash and cure stations. If your miniature suffers a critical fail during transit and arrives damaged, or if you spot a printing defect that slipped past our quality checks, send us a photo within 30 days of delivery. We will gladly forge and ship a replacement.

Please note: While we use premium, flexible resin blends designed to withstand regular tabletop play, these are still detailed hobby models. We cannot replace miniatures that take a tumble off the gaming table, get chewed by the tavern hound (your dog), or encounter an unfortunate painting accident.

MUSTER ROLL: LATE ARRIVALS. The Shambling Dead are expecting you.

Fresher than the skeletons and twice as messy. Ten zombies hauling themselves up through the dirt: a bald head and grasping hands, a body crawling forward on its elbows, a sword raised from a shallow grave, a mace held up like a torch, one climbing out from behind its own tombstone. Each sits on its own patch of broken earth.

Clear by Default: Like the rest of our ghostly range, these print in clear resin. A sickly green wash makes them look like they are still forming. Prime them grey for a solid, gory finish instead.

On the Battlefield: Markers for units being raised, spell effects, objectives or casualties returning to the Shambling Dead. Drop them along the front of a zombie horde to show it growing.

At the Table: The village graveyard at midnight. Place one marker a round and let the party count how many more are coming.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which base style should I choose?

Pick the option that matches how you play. Round (RPG Grid) puts each model on a base sized for a 1 inch grid: 25mm for human sized models and 50mm for large ones, ideal for D&D and Pathfinder. Round uses the round and oval sizes common in skirmish games and round based fantasy wargames. Square (Rank and Flank) uses the classic rank and flank square sizes, and Square (Kings of War) uses the Kings of War individual sizes. Kings of War Unit Base gives you one footprint base for the whole unit. Unbased sends the models on their own for your own bases or movement trays. The exact base size for each option appears under the selector as soon as you pick it.

Are bases included, and are the models glued to them?

Yes, every set includes bases to match your choice at no extra cost. Models ship loose beside their bases, not glued, so you can paint them off the base and arrange them however you like. The Kings of War Unit Base option ships as one footprint base per set with the models loose beside it.

How many models come in a set, and how do I build a bigger unit?

Each set includes one of each sculpt in that unit, usually 10 infantry or 5 cavalry, including the command models where the unit has them. For a bigger unit, raise the quantity: 2 infantry sets make a 20 model regiment and 4 make a horde. Kings of War unit bases combine the same way, so two Troop bases cover a Regiment footprint.

Will these work with my game system?

Our army models are true 32mm heroic scale, which sits comfortably alongside most 28mm and 32mm fantasy ranges. Bases follow the standard published sizes for each option. If your game calls for a base size we don't list, send us a message before you order and we'll print the right size for you.

Why are some units printed in clear resin?

Ghostly units such as wraiths, spirit hosts and invocation markers are printed in clear resin as standard, at no extra cost. A thin wash or contrast paint keeps them translucent so they look properly spectral. If you'd rather have a solid finish, prime them as normal and they paint exactly like our grey resin.

Do the miniatures come painted or assembled?

All army sets ship unpainted and unprimed. Most models are single piece, and mounted models may arrive as a rider and mount that glue together. Every model is washed, cured and has its supports removed. You may occasionally find a tiny support mark, which a quick pass with a hobby file or fine sandpaper will smooth out before priming.

How durable are the miniatures?

We print in tough, slightly flexible resin blends chosen for tabletop use, so the models handle normal gaming and transport well. Fine details like spear tips and banner poles are still hobby parts, and a fall onto a hard floor can snap them. If anything arrives broken or with a print defect, send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it.

Can you paint my army for me?

Yes. We take painted commissions at tabletop quality. Whole units and armies are quoted individually, starting from $150, with a typical turnaround of 2 to 4 weeks. Use the Want it painted? Request a commission button on any product page to get started.

Do you offer a discount on bigger orders?

Yes. The Army Builder discount applies automatically in your cart: 10% off when you buy 2 or more army sets from our Wargamer Armies range, and 15% off at 4 or more. Sets can be mixed across units, so 2 zombie sets and 2 skeleton sets count as 4. Single hero and command models don't count toward the total.
