The reclusive Sterling family of the Silverlake estate is over a month late on its yearly taxes, the honorable collector sent to retrieve them has vanished, and dark rumors have begun to cling to the manor: whispers of undead walking the grounds, and a vampire lord ruling from within.
What sets Shadows Over Silverlake apart is choice. The party is courted by two strangers and left to follow its own conscience, opening three very different roads to the same manor. They can join a silver-tongued rogue and slip through an undead-infested mine to steal the gold outright; they can take up the blessed, loaned relics of Jershom the vampire slayer and storm the front doors; or they can ignore both, walk up to the manor, and try to parley with the Sterlings themselves. But the rumors that reached Valnorwick may not tell the whole story — and a party that looks past the obvious will find the night holds a darker secret than a single vampire lord. However the heroes choose to play it, their decisions win them favor — or infamy — among the nobles of Valnorwick, and may spare or doom more than they expect.
