The Peddler’s Caravan: 28mm Traveling Merchant Wagon Terrain

The Shop Comes to the Party. Most merchant terrain asks you to imagine the goods. This one doesn’t. The entire flank of the caravan folds down into a serving counter, and the shelves behind it are already stocked with rows of bottles, bellied jugs, stoppered flasks and small crates, all sculpted in place. Park it at a crossroads and your players can see exactly what’s for sale before anyone rolls a Persuasion check.

A Wagon That Does Two Jobs: Closed, it’s a shuttered living cabin on spoked wheels, with a barrel roof, plank siding, a ladder lashed to the side and drop steps at the rear. Open, it’s a storefront under an awning on free-standing poles. That gives you two completely different table states from one print, which matters more than it sounds: the same piece serves the bustling market scene and the abandoned-on-the-road scene. Painters get an unusually generous spread of surfaces here: broad flat planking that takes a wood grain drybrush, iron banding and hinges for metallics, and a shelf of small props that rewards picking out one at a time in different glass and ceramic colours.
