Hrothgar Stonebrand plants the haft and waits, and the runes cut down its length are not decoration — they are a list, and he added to it himself. Every chieftain his people ever followed carried this maul before him, and each one paid for the privilege. He is not fast. He does not need to be. He arrives where the line is thinnest and stays there until the problem is resolved.

A Sculpt With Real Weight In It: Arbiter Miniatures gave this one genuine mass — braced legs, a low centre of gravity, and a fur kilt breaking over heavy boots. He carries no shield; the broad shape across his back is a thick fur pelt, and its coarse texture is the easiest drybrush target on the model. The rune work down the maul haft is cut deep enough to catch a wash without any brush control at all, and the bare torso is a gift if you want to practise skin tones on something larger than a face.
